He sacrifices himself while fending off the [[marid]] watersnake attacking [[Darayavahoush|Dara]] and [[Nahri]] together with the three [[ifrit]] [[Aeshma]], [[Qandisha]] and [[Vizaresh]] as the two try to cross the river on their way to [[Daevabad]].
